Tangled!

I have a new favorite movie.  I watched the movie Tangled Monday night.  Mandy Moore is the voice of the main character.  The story is about a child is going to born but the mother is very ill.  The king sends his army to find the flower that is able to cure the ill mother, and then they find it. The army doesn’t know that the flower is being used by a old woman to turn herself into a young lady again but she is trying to hid the flower at the moment she leaves she accidently messes up her hiding place and the army finds it.  The flower is taken to the mother and she becomes better but the old lady steals the young child.  The child is kept up in a tower for no one to find her.  But one day a rebel manages to make it up into the tower but not knowing anything about the young women.  With this boy she escapes.  They travel to the kingdom but on the way they face many in counters with evil people.  When they reach the castle she finds she is a missing princess.

rolemodel

The biggest influence on my life would be my grandma Janice.  She really hasn’t done anything crazy like save someone from a buring barn but she is my influence.  Loving, caring, and feeding me food that i love, she has turned into a angel in my eyes as much as an influence.  She also is my role model.  My grandma would do anything for me, she would drop at a hat if i asked.  She loves everyone else in the world more than herself.  Any one in the world would want a grandma like mine.  I think that having a grandma like this has rubbed off on me and has made me care more for others.  Everyone in the world should do, think, and love each other.  If that is not accomplished we are all going to end up in wars killing each other.

9/11 society reaction

In Sociology, we did a paper on how 9/11 brought social change to the U.S.  I thought that it changed the safety, government change, and patriotism. Citizens in the United States used to be able to ride an airplane or walk around and not judge people by their race or ethnic background; but that surely changed after 9/11.  Citizens now have to be prepared to show your luggage at the airport.  As well as now you  find yourself staring down the foreign looking passenger three rows up from you, wondering if they have a bom or not.  The people of are nation took on a different view of patriotism that day we now know what it means to have a army and what they do for are country.  We rise up as one  from a disasters such as 9/11.  We then trusted and rely on are government to make the right choices to pull us through a day comparable to 9/11.

puppy to puppy

This previous summer my dad worked on getting my brother a puppy.  My brother wanted a yellow lab.  My dad contacted a family outside of Des Moines, this family raised pups and sold them.  My brother picked the runt of the liter.  The puppy wasn’t a yellow lab he was a white lab instead.  My brother named the puppy Maverick he had got the name off of the movie “Top Gun” a air force movie featuring Tom Crews.  Maverick was a small puppy and always seemed lost and not right.  He was always running into things and he waddled like a pregnant woman.  After three months of having the puppy he got run over!  Maverick was took to the vets and was opperated on for a broken leg.  While he was getting x-rays they showed maverick had been born without a bone in one of his hips this would be the reason why he waddled.  Maverick didn’t live after the surgery he had got a blood clot in one of his legs that had went to his heart.  My brother and I were devustated he hadn’t had a puppy in forever and then we lost it.  But after putting ourselves together and realizing it was ok.  We proceded in getting another pup.  And we named him Goose to remember Maverick.

Whats your favorite kind of animal?

Book to Life

In the book that I’m reading I recollected about a friend I meet at girls state this past summer.  I’m reading the book called “Hate List” this book is about how a girl and a boy shot up their school. Nick the boyfriend was the shooter, he accidentally shoot Valerie also killed many people in the school and himself.  The rest of the book is about Valerie’s views.  This correlates with a girl I meet at girl state she lives in Parkersburg and she was in the room while her coach was shoot!  I immediately thought of this when I was reading my book.  She brought this up one night when we were talking about stuff in are lives that you wouldn’t think have had happened to us.  Before she had started talking about the horror her face instantly went blank and you knew she was about to say something you would never forget and I haven’t.  She had dated the older brother of the shooter.  She was involved more than just being there and feelings.  When She begun she stuttered into the story by saying the day was normal but when he walked in everyone was confused.  Confused by who it was and why he was there, but once the shot was fired it was clear.  Her coach had died and a friend had been shot that day and it will be remembered forever.
Have you ever read a book that mirrored real life? I’d like to hear about it.
